Lauren Pompilio will be receiving her M.S. degree in nuclear engineering with a specialization in nuclear nonproliferation from Texas A&M University in May.  She worked with Dr. Sunil Chirayath on a project to convert and analyze 10 CFR Part 810 General Authorization Data on assistance to foreign atomic energy activities.  This work was conducted in conjunction with Los Alamos National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory

Pompilio graduated with her B.S. in chemical engineering from Syracuse University in 2015. Prior to joining NSSPI, she worked as an intern in the Nuclear Security and Isotope Technology Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where she modeled off-gas treatment of iodine and tritium from spent nuclear fuel using MOOSE, a multi-physics, object-orientated software acquired from Idaho National Laboratory. In the summer of 2016, she interned at the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Pompilio successfully defended her thesis in March and will be moving to Charlottesville, Virginia to work at the Defense Intelligence Agency.
