NSSPI Remotely Delivers Nuclear Security and Safeguards Training Courses for Nigerian University

In July and August, NSSPI faculty and staff delivered three week-long training courses as part of an ongoing 16-week post-graduate certificate program in nuclear security science offered by the Centre for Nuclear Energy Studies (CNES) at the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria.  The certificate program is being led by Prof. Lucky Uyigue and Prof. Ayoade Kuye of CNES.  Participants in the program include professionals from the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority and the Nigerian Police. NSSPI Hosts Nigerian Faculty for Nuclear Security Study Tour

NSSPI Holds Graduation for PNS Summer Certificate in Nuclear Security Program

In July, NSSPI graduated its first class of students in the Summer Certificate in Nuclear Security Program. Sponsored by the US State Department's Partnership for Nuclear Security (PNS), the certificate program is an eight-week intensive course designed to produce nuclear professionals who will lead efforts to reduce the security risks associated with nuclear and radiological materials, while ensuring the peaceful use of nuclear energy is available to all.
