The Federation of American Scientists Awards Fellowship to NSSPI Student to Investigate Nuclear Security Training in the U.S.

Barbara Fisher, a graduate student with the Nuclear Security Science and Policy Institute (NSSPI), was awarded a $1,000 fellowship by the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) to investigate the nuclear security education opportunities across the United States. She has written a paper titled "Powering the Future of Nuclear Security through Regional Programs," which surveys nuclear security education opportunities across the United States and focuses on the necessity of regional programs for training the future generation of subject matter experts in this area. NSSPI Student Attends Science and Security Summit

On April 21st, Yanuar Ady Setiawan, a graduate student with the TEES Nuclear Security Science and Policy Institute, took part in the Science and Security Summit 2017, which was hosted by the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, DC.  The FAS sponsored three graduate-level engineering students currently working in the area of nuclear security and nonproliferation at US universities to speak on the subject of the role of scientists and engineers in global security and safety and in the current political landscape....

Charlton and Students Participate in ESARDA Symposium

NSSPI Director Dr. William Charlton and students Dr. Braden Goddard and Julia Eigenbrodt traveled to Bruges, Belgium to participate in the 35th Annual European Safeguards Research & Development Association (ESARDA) Symposium from May 27-30.    Each of the students gave a presentation at the symposium. Charlton Participates in CTBTO Academic Forum

Goodsell Wins Session Award at ANS Student Conference

NSSPI student Alison Goodsell was awarded the Isotopes and Radiation Session Award at the 2012 American Nuclear Society (ANS) Student Conference, which was held April 12-15 in Las Vegas, Nevada. NSSPI Students Present Research at GLOBAL 2011

From December 11-16, 2011, NSSPI staff and students presented their work at the GLOBAL 2011 conference held at Makuhari Messe in the Chiba province of Japan. The 31st Annual Meeting of European Safeguards Research and Development Association (ESARDA) took place from the 26th to the 28th of May, 2009 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
